Jardín Pequeño Cottolengo
Los Jardines Sanadores son espacios diseñados para atraer bienestar, beneficios físicos, psicológicos y sociales para los usuarios y visitantes ya que permiten tener experiencias sensoriales más ricas otorgadas por el contacto con la naturaleza. Estos jardines te llevan a un estado más relajado y calmo que estimula el sistema inmune dando más oportunidades al cuerpo de curarse.
El espacio se conformaba por dos jardines de iguales características, cuadrados y con una palmera central (Phoenix canariense), los que estaban separados por un pasillo y un muro que cortaba la relación entre ellos.

DESPUÉS
El proyecto como objetivo principal perseguía generar UN GRAN ESPACIO que permitiera una conexión física y visual de los patios. Cada uno de estos patios debía tener un programa diferente; uno que permitiera el descanso y la contemplación, y el otro, de carácter más interactivo y terapéutico. El espacio intermedio entre estos dos patios abiertos, funciona como un patio de invierno, cerrado por grandes ventanales que permiten que persista la lectura de un gran patio donde el exterior se integra al interior protegido.
Las tres zonas del proyecto son:
. Jardín + interactivo: espacios que permiten trabajos de estimulación terapéutica. Son 4 círculos ; dos de pasto y dos de madera; donde se pueden realizar actividades manuales, físicas (kinesiológicas) y lúdicas.
. Jardín Contemplativo: espacio que invita al paseo, el relajo y la contemplación. Se realiza un circuito en torno a la vegetación y una fuente de agua en su centro, acompañado de estares para el disfrute del entorno.
. Estar Interior: espacio que relaciona ambos jardines y permite sentir la conexión del interior con la naturaleza.
La vegetación de ambos patios se trabaja sobre lomas mediante “manchones” de colores que aportan, en características especiales, en cuanto a color, texturas, aromas, movimiento y sonido.
